University Staff Member

As a University Staff Member, you will need to use the Room Booking Request Form. This does not make a booking, but enables us to consider your request.

No booking will be regarded as confirmed until a confirmation email has been sent to the person making the booking.

 

Principles:
The space provided for Brookes Union is principally for student-led activities, whether these are directly organised by the Union or by Societies or ad-hoc groups of students. We also lease Union Square on an ad-hoc basic to external organisations.
Activities organised by the SU and Societies will have priority in terms of use during semesters.
During times when students are less likely to use the spaces for student-led activitiy, those spaces will be available to be booked by other colleagues in the University.
Other than the Union Square, these spaces are not available for activities designed to accrue personal gain.

 

Booking Conditions:

Union Hall and Gallery:
In order to prioritise use by students, during semesters bookings from University Departments and Directorates will not be taken for either the Union Hall and Gallery more than two working weeks in advance of the date for which the booking request is made.

Board Room and Meeting Rooms:
During semesters the Meeting Rooms may be booked in advance by university departments and directorates for activities which are scheduled to end by 12.00 during semesters.  
If the activity is scheduled to finish later than 12.00 (during semesters) bookings from University. Departments and Directorates will not be taken for the Board Room or Meeting Rooms more than two working weeks in advance of the date for which the booking request is made.

Union Square
During semesters bookings from University Departments and Directorates will not be taken more than two working weeks in advance of the date for which the booking request is made.
