I'm travelling by bus  


Headington Campus is served by the BROOKESbus and local bus services. The BROOKESbus service connects the city, halls of residences and the campuses. Find out more about Brookes Bus services. Many Brookes students are entitled to free travel on BROOKESbus services. Students can apply for a free BROOKESkey, which unlocks a range of discounts.

The nearest Park'n'Ride is Thornhill, with buses every 10-12 minutes during peak times. The Park'n'Ride bus stops outside the main headington Campus.

If you are travelling from London, a range of services stop outside Headington Campus: the X90, airline services to Gatwick and Heathrow, National Express to Stansted and the Oxford Tube stop outside Headington Campus.

I'm travelling by bike  


Bike racks are availble by the colonnade outside the John Henry Brookes building and close to the car pack outside Clerici.

Bike Bins can be hired for up to a year at our Harcourt Hill, Wheatley and Gipsy Lane sites. A £20 deposit is required which will be refunded upon return of the key so long as the lock, key and bin are in good condition. Bins are issued on a first-come first-serve basis and can be requested by emailing transport@brookes.ac.uk.

There is a secure parking facility located outside the John Henry Brookes Building on Gipsy Lane. To request access please email transport@brookes.ac.uk. There is no charge for using this facility but space within the facility is extremely limited.


Oxonbike is a similar system to the 'Boris bikes' in London. A station is lcated at Gipsy Lane (outside Clerici by the carpark, with other stations around the city (including Thornhill Park'n'Ride an d Headington shops. Registration costs £1 and every bike hire is free up to 30 mins. Find out more: oxonbikes.co.uk

Oxford is served by two train stations - Oxford and Oxford Parkway

  • Great Western

    www.gwr.com Operate trains from Oxford to Reading and London Paddington. Change at Didcot Parkway for South Wales and the West of England.

  • Chiltern Railway

    www.chilternrailways.co.uk run from Oxford Parkway station to London Marylebone via Bicester Village, Thame and Haddenham Parkway, Princes Risborough and High Wycombe. The Park and Ride Bus 500 runs from Oxford Centre to Oxford Parkway.

  • Cross Country Trains

    www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk operate services from Scotland, North of England, Midlands and the South Coast to Oxford
