You've Arrived!

We’re Brookes Union. As your students’ union, we’re here to help you make the most of your time at Brookes. Whether that’s helping you make friends or giving you helpful advice on finding a house in Oxford, we’re here to support you. Take a look around and find out what to expect from us this year and how you can jump in and get involved.

We’re run by students for students. Every year the student body votes for who they want to lead the Union.

Student Reps feedback cycle

Students’ unions aren’t just about helping you socialise, we also want to help you get the most out of your degree. One way we represent your academic interests is through our network of student reps. Our student reps volunteer to represent the thoughts and views of other students on their course. The reps work alongside our officer team to make sure that positive change is being created throughout Oxford Brookes University.

As a new student you can sign up to become a rep.

Student Networks

Student Networks

Brookes Union recognises that there are certain communities of students who have been historically underrepresented and marginalised in the student body. Student networks are your way to form communities with fellow students, and campaign on the issues that affect you. Brookes Union currently has 8 networks: Black, BIPOC, Disabled, Environmental, LGBTQ+, Mature, Postgrad, and Womens, but you can start a group of your own at any time.

student network icons

Student networks campaign to combat oppression, discrimination, and inequality faced by students on both a local and national level - and Brookes Union has a campaign fund especially to help you carry out these activities!
